Plattform Salzburger ChoreografInnen

tanz_house Salzburg, funded in 1999, is a cultural non-profit association which serves as a platform for independent contemporary choreographers situated in and linked with the city of Salzburg. The association consists on the one hand of the production house/choreographic center tanz_house studio and on the other of the festivals tanz_house herbst and tanz_house festival usually taking place each year in October.

The production house hosts the associated choreographers of tanz_house and also supports artists which are linked to the organization through creative residencies and showings of their work within the festivals.

tanz_house ist die Plattform der freischaffenden Salzburger Choreografieszene. Die Aktivitäten des Vereins tanz_house, gegründet 1999, basieren auf zwei Hauptachsen: dem in der ARGEkultur angesiedelten choreographischen Produktionszentrum tanz_house studio und dem tanz_house festival bzw. dem tanz_house herbst (jährlich im Oktober stattfindend).

tanz_house festival

ist ein zweiwöchiges nationales und internationales Festival im Oktober, das biennal stattfindet.

tanz_house herbst ist ein einwöchiges Festival, das aktuelle Produktionen der tanz_house Mitglieder und der Plattform verbundenen KünstlerInnen aus dem In- und Ausland zeigt.

Im tanz_house studio entwickeln die Salzburger ChoreografInnen und Companys ihre Stücke.

Es ist gleichzeitig auch Ort für offene Companytrainings, Spezialistenworkshops und Treffpunkt der professionellen freischaffenden Tanz- und Performanceszene und auch für solche, die nur vorübergehend in der Stadt arbeiten.

So entstehen fast alle Produktionen der tanz_house Mitglieder dort  und das tanzhouse studio ist auch optimaler Raum für try outs und work-in-progress-showings.
